1.March 6th 1852:The first telegraph Messageoveer the new telegraph line from Brigus to St.John's was sent by F.N.Gisbourne.
2.March 7th 1926: The first Radio-Telephone conversation across the Atlantic Ocean."Voices clearer than the average Telephone"
3.March 10th 1918:Rt.Rev.WilliamC.White became the first Native Born Newfoundlander to be consecratedBishop of Newfoundland.
4.March 12th 1884: The Twillingate Sun Newspaper was registered by J.P.Thompson.
5. March 19th 1885: the Statue of the Dead Christ ,by the irish Sculptor Hogan of Dublin was placed under the altar of the Roman Catholic Cathedral in St. John's
6 March 25th 1927: A Coal Seam was struck at St. George's at a dept of 245 feet.
