1. Nov.2nd 1923
First steel Column for the Corner Brook Newsprint Mill was placed in positon.
Cormac reached St. Georges after crossing the island by foot.
2.Nov.3rd 1943
Engineer Ambrose Wall and cleaner William Smith lost their lives as the engine left the track and turned over near Crow Gulch,Bay of Islands.
3.Nov 5th 1935
Miss B. Moulton(Miss Zephyr) won the beauty contest at the annual Newfoundland Industrial Fair, runners up Miss Daisey Burridge and Miss Laura Marshall.
4. Nov.6th 1944
Miss Eleanor Boland retired post mistress of Curling honored for her many years of service in Curling Post Office .

Rev. John Clinch ,Medical Missionary who gave the first vaccination in Newfoundland died.

A bazaar was held at Government House in St. John's to establish a Society for prevention of cruelty to animals .Result :$848.30.

A mass meeting was held at the Majestic Theatre Corner Brook attended by over 1200 people .Resolutions were drawn up demanding the Governments resignation.

As a result of a benefit wrestling match at Price's Rink when VanWurden defeated Roughhouse Reynolds $401.67 was handed to the Prime Minister to provide clothing for the needy .
